Future Sound System

This Friday was the Future Sound System festival here in Auckland. Some of my friends from the CSF went too. I was with Gabriel who I met in the South Island EX. We took a train to go to the Stadium, approx 40 min away from Central Auckland.

Three main DJ's played that night:

MARTIN GARRIX

AFROJACK

AVIICI

They all were amazing talented, even with a slip by Afrojack in some part of the event.

Being in a stadium, it was well organized with a fence separating the area with the bars from the area where people dance and everything. You could not cross these zones with drinks in your hand, different from most shows in Brazil.

Another difference was the time: while in Brazil this show probably would start at 00h (the main DJ's), here they have begun to perform at 19h!! and everything ended at 23h! Really soon.

SKY JUMP - WAIHEKE ISLAND

Those were the last two days with my Brother and Father here in Auckland, and we end up in great style!

First, after breakfast, my brother wanted to jump from the city icon, SkyTower. We met at a coffee close to the tower and without struggling or anything he agreed to do it. Once inside, we (me and my father) were guided to a platform with a target which my brother, from 192 m high would fall into! There we waited, and fast enough he came, from the sky, screaming of course.. I pretend to do the same jump at the end of my stay here, as an appropriate goodbye to Auckland, what do you think?!

After that, we had lunch at one of the famous pizzerias here, Sal`s, located on Queen St. You also find one in K Road, they make NZ stylish pizzas, very tasteful.

Once we finished lunch, we went back to the Hotel just to rest a little and after 14:30 it was time for the second part of the day. Waiheke Island!

Waiheke is famous for its Wineries. To get there you need to enter a ferry boat that takes 45 min to reach the island departing from Auckland. There, you take a bus to the Wineries that take others 20 min. Everything for an Adult cost 45 $. On the way, you are contemplated by numerous beaches perfect to spend a day.

We decided to visit the Stoneridge Vineyard. A calm, restful place where you can taste Wines which the grapes are cultivated in the island and later used to produce the Wine. See the photos below:

At the end of the day, I made dinner for them in my place, we went back to the hotel which was closer to take a bus in the morning.

On the next day, we woke up early, packed everything, ate breakfast at Hollywood cafe close to Britomart and waited for the bus which took us to the International Airport. Time to say goodbye, but not before I have learned with my brother how to solve the Rubik's cube!

15h, time to go to the plane, we told our goodbyes, see you two again in November! Thanks for everything, from the surprise, love and smile. I will come back soon.

Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium

Two days ago, I was with my family in the Aquarium located close to Mission Bay. You pay (as a student) 30$ to make a tour and it is really good, very interesting. "Fun for a day". There, besides information about the marine life you also have the history of the discovery of those species around NZ and detailed information on current research. They even had an aquarium
just made from the 'Finding Nemo' movie!

Here are some photos and videos of our visit!

[The video this time is different, instead of the best short version I put all them together in a longer one, check it out here:   in Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium]

Nice day.
